We are ethically made activewear that is first intended to provide comfortness for those who prefers modest active wear. Not just about comfort and modesty, it is also because we wanted to create awareness on how we should care more for our nature, hence our founder Intan Juliana Zulkifli decided to do more research and strategies on how can she made it both modest and eco friendly. Concern about how a yogi should dress modestly at the same time trying to contribute a small impact for mother nature. She then found her partner, Dina Nurjannah, with the same mission. They both agreed to stand together in creating awareness on a sustainable lifestyle.
Our founder, Intan Juliana Zulkifli, born and originally from Malaysia. Shes a 38 years old mother of 2, juggling her day to day time managing her kids,businesess and sports life, mainly Yoga and Muay Thai.Graduated in Bachelor of Commerce Accounting & Finance from Curtin University Western Australia , she is also a CPA holder and worked with the International leading accounting company Price Water House Coopers. She then got married in 2005 and moved to Bandung Indonesia with her husband Ari. They both started their first business in coal & transportation which is still running up til now. Intan has always been into fashion since school days and finally started her first fashion brand named Jewels Indonesia in 2012. Intan is also a Yoga personal trainer, mainly for a private session.
Dina Nurjannah is a 24 year old Mathematical Degree holder who is also currently doing her Master in Mathematics in University Pendidikan Indonesia. She’s the third in her family of 4 siblings. Dina started her yoga journey in 2015 and then proceed with her Yoga teachers training in 2017. Her yoga journey has brought an amazing impact in her life , changed her perspectives and also her daily lifestyle. Dina is now a passionate and qualified RYT Yoga instructor . She teaches in several Yoga studio. Besides teaching yoga and undergoing to complete her Masters , Dina is also running her own business as Yoga event organiser which is known as Dna Project which was created in 2018. Her main objective is to increase awareness in the public on the benefits of practicing Yoga and also on how to practice Yoga the correct way.
Fitflo activewear is a brand that focuses on quality, transparency, eco consciousness and sustainable manufacturing practices. Reducing unnecessary impact on other beings and planet while providing an alternative to mass producing fast fashion.
Our garments are made in simple shapes from organic materials,plant dyes and even recycled waste. Collections are purposely created in small, sustainable run to reduce wastage in any form. We also make sure that all are cut, sewn by responsible team in a comfortable and safe working environment.
Fitflo activewear uses Organic Bamboo, Organic Lyocell Tencel, recycled fiber by Repreve and also natural plant dyes.
A lot of research had been done before we decided to use Bamboo fabric as one of our main features. Our first Bamboo pants named Kyra is one of our best seller. Bamboo fiber is well known for its absorbency that keeps you dry faster. Hence, we find that this is one of the most important thing that active people would want to feel dry and comfortable even after a heavy work out! We want our customers to be able to feel light and comfy wearing our pants for the whole day, hassle and odour free! We also love the fact that Bamboo can be a very sustainable crop which requires no fertiliser and self regenerates from its own roots. Less water, less labour and it is obvious that it doesnt require any pesticides.
By now, Fitflo’s customers should have realised that most of our apparels are made from Lyocell fabric that is also known as Tencel. The main raw material for lyocell is the cellulose from wood pulp (Eucalyptus, oak and Birch). The farming of these trees does not require irrigation or pesticides and its production uses less toxic and wasteful. Lyocell is biodegradable, antibacterial, and has greater moisture absorption compare to cotton. Thus, with this natural breathability, Tencel fabric should be a perfect choice for people with sensitive skin and even babies. This is why Tencel was awarded the “European Award for the Environment” by the European Union. Nonetheless, our first Tencel pants named “Esme” has become our our best seller too.
Acknowledging how synthetic dyes impact on the environment, our founder Intan Juliana decided to opt for a much conscious way in getting the colors for our next colorful collection. We use natural dyes or colorants derived from plants, such as Indigo, Mango & Indian Redwood. Accordingly, all the after waste is organic and can be used as a compost. Stay tuned for our next collection. We really hope we could contribute as much in helping the environment.
Working together with the leading global textile solutions company, Fitflo activewear is grateful to announce that we will also be introducing our collection that is made from REPREVE fiber. It is a family of synthetic fibers containing recycled materials such as recycled bottle caps. Repreve sources their bottle caps from recycling companies around the U.S. They have recycled over 14 billion bottles into Repreve threads and it is estimated that the production has conserved enough energy to power over 95,000 homes for a year! This is definitely an amazing effort to help saving Mother Nature. By supporting Fitflo activewear, you will also be contributing your little bit in helping the evirontment.
